Welcome to Laaina Fashion. Our main goal is to satisfy customers with our inspiring, new and artistic designs. Customers are able to choose from a broad range of contemporary styles and designs of their choice.
In honor of our late mother Talanoamoeloto Vatuvei Tuakalau who was a Professional Tailor and Designer based in the Kingdom of Tonga and gained great experience from sewing and a qualified certificate from New Zealand in 1986, which she worked from until 1991. Talanoa spent 3 years in Sydney designing clothes for the Tongan community. She worked as a sewing teacher for the Ahopanilolo school in Nukualofa Tonga at the same time she worked as a General Manager for the Tamafua Sewing Factory for the Catholic Church in Tonga. Our late father Hanipale Tuakalau was very supportive of her passion for designing. Talanoa Fashion Boutique was our family business for 30 years. She passed away in 2005, our father Hanipale Tuakalau in 2009 they are truly missed.
Our mother inspired us in so many ways to fulfill our enthusiasm for design and how to archive our goal and above all teaching us to let God be in charge of our life and all that we do.

Who We Are
From Laaina Tuakalau Kalauta
A family sewing business passed down from our late mother, Talanoa moe Loto Vatuvei Tuakalau to me and my younger sister, Vaimaalaala Tuakalau based in New Zealand and Sydney. We are passionate about designing clothes, and about continuing our mother's legacy. Our passion for design began when we were young helping run our late mother's family store named after her, Talanoa Fashion Boutique in Tonga 30 years ago.
We design contemporary styles, custom made clothes such as; formal dresses, traditional Tongan clothing, Island creation, children's clothes, men's shirts, jackets, casual wear, alterations and any style of your choice.
We are home based in Sydney and my sister Vaimaalaala Tuakalau in NZ.
We take orders on demand and we custom-make your choice of styles.
Our price depends on styles/sizes.
